DARIOS Hand Control
DARIOS Hand Control

An acronym for Digital Accelerator RIng Optimized for Speed, the DARIOS Hand Control is a ring-shaped accelerator positioned within the steering wheel. To accelerate, the ring is pushed toward the steering wheel. At low speed, acceleration is reportedly smooth and progressive (not jerky), while at high speed, it is reportedly responsive and precise, in both cases, allowing two hands to remain on the wheel. On the steering column near the hand control is the hand brake, which is moved downward to activate. The system installs on most all vehicles that have automatic transmissions.
