Electric-Heated Water Hose
Connected to the faucet like any garden hose, an Electric-Heated Water Hose includes (1) an electric cord that plugs into an outdoor-rated GFCI outlet and (2) a thermostat that activates a copper-wire heating element inside the hose line. Once plugged in, the thermostat is set to activate the heating element when the temperature falls below a certain level and turn it off above that level. Heated hoses vary widely in price, depending on length, diameter, electrical and other components, fabrication material, and intended use (e.g., drinking-water-safe vs. not).
Cost range: $100-$500, depending on length, size, use, quality, etc.
