Hand-Held Magnetic Pickup Tools
There are two general types of the Hand-Held Magnetic Pickup Tools, both lightweight-i.e., 2-3 pounds). One type is a round (softball-size) - or rectangular (brick-size) - device, with the magnet underneath and a grip handle with a pull-up debris release handle on top. It's used primarily to pick up small ferrous (iron/steel) pieces or parts from boxes, stock bins, kegs, work table, etc. The other type is usually a larger round or rectangular device attached to a long-reach handle that has an attached quick-release sleeve. It's used primarily for picking or sweeping up metal objects/debris from off the floor without having to bend over.
