Pasture Nose-Pump Waterer
Used for dairy/beef cattle, horses, and exotics, the Pasture Nose-Pump Waterer consists of a small drinking basin with a lever connected to a pumping cylinder hooked up to a supply pipe that runs to a nearby water source-e.g., pond, reservoir, spring, stream, shallow well. To get a drink, the animals push the lever with their nose, which releases water into the basin. Typically, the device is mounted on a timber platform that's anchored into the ground with wooden stakes. It is designed to be easy to move around, making it especially useful for rotational grazing.
