Cordless Ratchet Wrench
Cordless Ratchet Wrench

The lithium-ion battery-powered Cordless Ratchet Wrench offers these advantages over a conventional manual ratchet: (1) can be used in tight work spaces where there would otherwise be limited room to ply a handle manually, (2) provides much more torque for tightening or loosening nuts/bolts, and (3) is significantly faster-e.g., completes six full rotations in the same amount of time a manual ratchet would complete just one rotation. Versus compressed air-powered ratchets, the cordless has no hose to contend with. While makes/models differ as to drive (1/4- to 1/2-in.), voltage (12 to 20 V), torque (30- to 70 ft.-lbs.), etc., all come with variable-speed control, LED light, drive adapter, batteries, battery charger, and storage case.

Estimated Cost Cost range: $150-$450, depending on voltage, torque, work speed, no. of batteries, etc.

Limitations Limitations Addressed by Product: Upper extremity, Strength/endurance, Back
