This no-tractor-needed Manual Plastic-Mulch Layer is ideal for high tunnel as well as outdoor specialty crop production. "Towed" by two people, the four-wheeled machine consists of a chisel-type blade at the front, a plastic-mulch unroller, and a pair of parabolic discs at the rear. The blade cuts open the soil and digs the furrow, the unroller dispenses the plastic sheet over the furrow, and the discs them sweep soil onto the edges of the sheet to anchor it.
