T-Bar Steering Lever Modification
A T-Bar Steering Lever Modification allows Morrison, IL, farmer Richard Swanson to operate his all-hand-controlled Gehl 2600 skid loader with a prosthesis. The right lever operates the bucket functions, while the left lever steers and moves the loader forward and backward. Swanson bolted a "U"-shaped steel channel to the top of the left lever. Thus, by slipping the shaft of his prosthetic hand into the channel and moving his arm, he is able to push, pull, and twist the lever.
